Sara Price first-ever podium finish in the SCORE International Offroad series

LAKE ELSINORE, California (September 28, 2018) – Multiple Time Offroad Champion Sara Price officially broke a new personal record with a first-ever podium finish in the SCORE International Offroad series. Sara and Navigator Erica Sacks crossed the finish line with an impressive 2nd place, collecting valuable championship points toward Price’s full-season SCORE International campaign.

Starting 12th out of the fourteen Trophy Truck Spec’s On day one, the duo drove a smart and calculated race and crossed the checkered flag of the Tijuana Desert Challenge and earned a 2nd place. Despite the team getting caught in bottlenecks both race days, the team #204 found themselves finishing 2nd once again on day 2 giving them their first podium finish in Mexico with a 2nd Place overall. The RPM Offroad/ Geiser Trophy Truck Spec. ran flawlessly during the entire event. Price now will have 2nd start position in class at this years Baja 1000.

‘’The feeling of finishing on the box during our first year racing the complete SCORE is amazing! Thanks RPM Offroad for the opportunity to be out there and racing in the TT Spec. truck, it ran perfect, also thanks to Geiser Bros for building such an incredible machine and working so hard. The course was challenging and very dusty, so I had to really rely on Ericas notes to drive off of when there was no visibility. We are REALLY looking forward to the BAJA 1000!’’ said Price.

“We came into the race days with a plan to drive smart, collected and fast, and we did just that. We had made a lot of notes this race as we knew it would be dusty and it really paid off in those times we couldn’t see. We felt great in the truck and everything really just came together as a Team” said Sacks

Since 2006, Team RPM has collected championships and race wins in series including SCORE and Best in the Desert. Team principals Clyde Stacy and Matney have captured 11 SCORE season class point titles between them as key drivers.

The team scored an historic win in 2017 at the 50th anniversary Baja 1000 with Mexican driver Carlos “Apdaly” Lopez. He also won the SCORE International Trophy Truck championship in 2015 and 2016. The team earned their first Baja 1000 Class 1 victory in 2014.

Price is set to race the full SCORE International season with Team RPM this season in Trophy Truck Spec, a regulated class that showcases driver talent above all else. Class vehicles are equally matched, with rules specifying engine, suspension and wheel and tire size.

Price will also add competition dates to her schedule as opportunities arise. Her adventures all season will be extensively documented on her social media channels.
