LAKE ELSINORE, California (May 29, 2018) – Motocross and UTV champion Sara Price will compete in her second SCORE event at the 50th BAJA 500; the event will take place in Mexico’s Baja California Peninsula from May 30th to June 3rd. She will tackle the complete race for a total of 542.12 miles aboard her RPM Offroad’s #204 Trophy Truck Spec. This year’s course is promised to be the most challenging Baja 500 yet.

‘’We’ve been working hard with RPM Offroad and Geiser Bros putting in Hundreds of miles testing the truck and over One Thousand Miles Pre-Running this years course getting ready for this upcoming Baja. I couldn’t be more excited to take on the 50th anniversary from start to finish and run a smart race, I feel confident coming into the event. We have the Best Team in our corner and have done our homework.’’ said Price.

Navigator Erica Sacks will be alongside Price for the race. ‘’We’ve been teammates for many years building trust and strategies that work for us. The Baja 500 will be one of the most challenging races so far together, but I’m looking forward to getting back in the RPM Offroad Trophy Truck Spec.” said Sacks.

The team scored an historic win in 2017 at the 50th anniversary Baja 1000 with Mexican driver Carlos “Apdaly” Lopez. He also won the SCORE International Trophy Truck championship in 2015 and 2016. The team earned their first Baja 1000 Class 1 victory in 2014.

The duo is pre-running down in Mexico with Sara’s Super ATV Polaris RZR XP 1000 along side 5 Time SCORE Champion and RPM Offroads Teammate Justin Matney.

‘’We are thrilled for the 50th anniversary Baja 500 and look forward to see the #204 cross the finish line. We’ve put in an incredible amount of hours to prepare for this event and feel confident coming into this race.’’ Said Justin Matney.

Price is set to race the full SCORE International season with Team RPM this season in Trophy Truck Spec, a regulated class that showcases driver talent above all else. Class vehicles are equally matched, with rules specifying engine, suspension and wheel and tire size.

Price will also add competition dates to her schedule as opportunities arise. She opened the season at King of the Hammers in the UTV category. Her adventures all season will be extensively documented on her social channels.

In 2017, Price’s calendar included a diverse array of events including a select series of off-road races for RPM Offroad in Trophy Truck Spec class in the Best In The Desert series, with a best finish of sixth. She also won the Next Female Hoonigan contest to earn a chance to drive a factory backed Fiat Rally Car in a pair of hill climbs, seizing second-place result at the San Pedro Martir Hill Climb in Mexico.
